It was a super awesome week! A member took us to get super expensive sushi. πŸ™☺️☺️☺️ Our friend Satoko san is on Baptismal date! She is our purple jacket friend! She is super Awesome! Its been fun to see the gospel bless her life already! 😊 πŸ˜ƒ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜„  She gave me a super nice scarf for my birthday!  My companion plays the guitar 🎸 and sings every night. He is very talented! Its awesome! He is from Australia and hates the snow.... ❄️  I went to McDonald's 3 times in 1 day for meals with friends...... I got to play the piano in Sacrament yesterday. The ward was bumping. πŸ˜ƒ  We hiked a mountain ⛰️ and said a prayer as a district. It was genuinely one of the coolest experiences of my life. I looked out over all of Kyoto and all my area for the past 4 months. Its crazy how my life has changed here. Every week I write about having a new "coolest experience of my life". Its cool what the lord will do for us. This week I studied about the Spirit. 2 Nephi 26:13 And th...

I would like to share an experience I had this week. I remember vividly the moment I won state in Tennis 2nd doubles. I remember throwing my hat, shaking my opponents hands, giving my partner Tal a hug, and celebrating with all my friends and family. It was the happiest, most joyfilled moment of my life. It was amazing!  Even during the happiest moment of my life I remember later that night feeling a sense of sadness knowing that my amazing tennis victory was over. I knew that things would change, and my life would move on.  I want to compare that to an experience I had here.  Its been 4 months of me putting my blood, sweat, and tears into the work here in Shimogamo. Devoting everything I have to other people, and to the Lord. Through good days, and challenging times, during the hot summer, and freezing winter I have wondered a lot about if my work and efforts will actually bless the lives of the ones I am serving. Yesterday at a members house we had a meal with a ...

This week was boring. I was super sick from Tuesday-Friday. I am feeling good now though! My comp can ride his bike now too! ⬆️πŸ†™️ 😌  Everyone from the Philippines has their location set to Kyoto Japan becasue "they want to come here one day". They would always tell me that they wanted to come to church with me, before they told me they live in the Philippines... I fell for their tricks about 5 or 6 times.  Its super awesome! I found multiple that I referred to missionaries in the Philippines (leo Larson, jonah slighting, and Austin Taylor) take care of my boys.... Haha  A member that was in active when I got here, came running up to me at church all excited! He said, "Elder Pohlman. I made a list of friends that I am bringing to church with me!" This was a highlight of my week. Its fun to see the lord change the hearts of the people i work with. A member gave me a wagyu this week. πŸ˜†πŸ˜πŸ˜„πŸ˜ Japanese people go crazy in the snow. It felt like the end of the world. ...

I think I have the flu! Sorry for the short email. πŸ˜…πŸ˜•πŸ™‡ 3 months ago when streeting we find a guy named Kai. He was super prepared, but lived in Okinawa so we lost contact with him.....He was a diamond person..... not just gold.  This week while out and about we saw him! It was last Pday. We talked to him for a little bit, but he wouldn't give us his contact information for some reason. I  was super bummed. The next day was new years eve. Doing missionary work here is super hard during new years week. Its like christmas in america. While biking around we see ouf freind Kai again!!!!πŸ‘ It was actually crazy, Kyoto is a really big and crowded city, so to see Him again was crazy. At this point he was convinced it wasn't a coincidence, we met up a couple days later at a Indo Curry restaurant. It had the biggest Naans I have ever seen. πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ We put our most progressing friend on Date last Tuesday. It was really cool and I was super excited!  He hasn't texted us sin...
