Elder Maxwell Steven Pohlman

 This week was crazy! One of the craziest weeks of my life for sure!😊 I had an island district Pday. I bowled 6 strikes in a row, but sold the rest of the game.🎳 I got a call from President Sano on Tuesday morning.  He told me to be to Kobe with all of my stuff the next day...... Tuesday night I got to see Grandma Michi and Grandpa Doug (Tatsui)! 🎴 I played pickleball with a friend. My companion is Japanese, and so over powered! We are both young, and are going to help the new mission President when he comes in July. Super fun but busy. I got to go streeting with Bean Chans (new missionaries we just picked up from the Airport). It made me realize how much I have learned and grown! I am sleeping in a mansion with and indoor pool and sauna. (It doesnt have water) Elder kaimori tripped upwards of 6 times in the past 4 days! Its been super busy, but life is so good. The Kobe ward might be the best ward in all of Japan.  I am going to get a driver's license.

  This week was one of the most Joyous weeks of my mission. I ate a bowl of udon that could feed an entire Japanese Family. The sisters in our Area had a baptism! Brother Okano got dunkkkked! I saw cow for the first time in Japan. (I am on a bus, and there are super beautiful bushes full of flowers)((are we deaduzzzzzzz)) We found a friend named Aki. I met him online. He is a really good ping pong player, so I challenged him. He came to our sports night, but we didnt even get to play ping pong because he was so eager to learn more about Jesus Christ.  I got to talk to him for an hour while my companion talked to some other friends.  I taught him the simplest things about what we beleive.  His mind was blown. It has caused me to ponder this simple question.  "Who am I?" A Son of an All Powerful, All Loving, and Perfect God. A God that is perfect just like Jesus Christ! This truth has changed my life.  I am grateful for the opportunity I have to watch this be...

  Sakura was fire. Please pray for our friend Liam. He is from Taiwan. He is cool. 10$ Unlimited Ice Cream, Meat, Sushi, everything restersunt discovered!  I met an grandma and we had a bowing competition. She almost touched her head to her feet.....  I met a professional pianist. If you find a channel called Kuchy keep an eye out.... A member makes us meals every sunday, and she told me that I eat the most out of any missionary! 😃 💪 She told me to be careful riding my bike home because I might pop the tires...... (LOL) I got to explain what Easter was this week, probably around 50 times. I am thankful that I know Jesus Christ lives.  He overcame sin and death, and rose on the 3rd day! Last Pday I took a ferry to a small Island. We biked to the top of a mountain to a massive statue of Buddha. There were a lot of monkeys 🐒 🙈.  We had zone conference. It was stressful. The food was insane. They dont mess around here.  We found an all you can eat meat/sushi/ice cream place for 2,000 yen. Its like 12 dollars.  SAKURA IS HERE! We are going to find some today.  I love Easter. This time of year has always been my favorite time of year. There is always a new sense of hope that comes in the spring.  I met a guy and he brought his daughter to english class. Not crazy, but it made me happy. すてきなぼうし The sacrament is awesome. -Elder Pohlman 

  Every week when I write an email, I think to myself how the words I write on this, will never express the feelings of the things I want to share.  I am currently a ZL of a Zone over Shikoku, which is a big Island in Japan. It is notoriously known for missionary work being hard. Missionaries will knock houses for days and not even get to talk to people. Yesterday we had the opportunity to do reports, and to hear about the missionaries in the zone. Every single companionship was overwhelmed with how many miracles they saw.  I would like to share one of mine. Yesterday we walked into church after a good week of hard work. We greated the members, and before we knew it, friend after friend started walking into the doors. There are 3 sets of missionaries in our area. A good week of missionary work in Japan is 1 friend to church.
